My Story

I’m Anne Ramallo. I have spent nearly 20 years working with words and stories—as a journalist and newspaper editor, as an author and freelance writer, and as a business communications writer helping companies to tell their stories and build their brands.

My experience has given me the ability to shape an engaging story, a knack for balancing thoroughness with brevity, and a critical eye for achieving professional standards.

I’ve always been an editor—the person friends turn to when they need a fresh perspective and a second pair of eyes. I’m also a lifelong writer, who wrote my first books at four years old. I’ve traditionally published a nonfiction book, Outdoor Rooms II, and written several award-winning short fiction stories.

Since launching my editing business in 2019, I’ve helped writers to define their stories, develop revision plans, and hone their voices. I approach each project with empathy and respect, for both the writer and their characters, and make suggestions to help stories reach their full potential. I’m also a nerd who will enthusiastically share my craft and market knowledge.

My education includes a degree in English/Creative Writing and continuing professional development in writing craft and editing.

There are many more stories to tell and I look forward to being involved.
